Geeks Rejoice: Sci-Fi Channel to Launch Pulse

Grab your lightsaber, teleporting machine, and space suit:  Sci Fi channel has announced Pulse, a new channel launching May 8th.  Sci Fi, hoping to become a broadband force to be reckoned with, announced many exciting projects at a conference for advertisers and investors in New York City.  The channel plans to create spin-offs of popular Sci Fi shows and feature re-runs of old sci-fi favorites.  

The producers of the new Battlestar Galactica, one of the hottest shows on Sci Fi now on its second season, are working on a pre-quel to the show titled Caprica.  Caprica will revolve around the creation of the Cylons and the evolution of the twelve colonies of Kobol.  One can only hope Caprica lives to the expectations Battlestar has created.
